Unusual morning Monsters game could create traffic nightmare in downtown Cleveland

DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Monsters will welcome 7,000 students and teachers to a special weekday game at The Q this morning.

Second through 12th graders from more than 30 Northeast Ohio schools to attend annual "Student Education Game."

For the third straight year, the Lake Erie Monsters will host a "Student Education Game," with a special morning start time of 10:45AM. When the Monsters host the Texas Stars for the first time this season, they will be cheered on by an expected 7,000 screaming kids and teachers from more than 30 local schools.

There will be approximately 200 buses arriving at The Q in the morning, beginning around 9AM.  Doors at The Q will open at 9:30AM.

The theme of this year's game - the fourth such game, after the team hosted two last season - is respect.  The students - ranging from second through 12th grades - will all receive a Respect Workbook at the game that will allow them to actively participate in learning about and practicing respect. Each student will also receive a free day pass to Castaway Bay.
