Priest springs into action during church attack

Cleveland Police have jailed a man accused of attacking a woman in church, until a priest came to her rescue.

According to police reports, a woman was shoveling snow Sunday morning at St. John Nepomucene located at E.49th and Fleet Avenue when a man tried to rob her.

The suspect punched the woman then walked across the street where he was followed by the woman's boyfriend and Father Robert Jasany. The crime cracking duo called 9-1-1.

Police arrested Duriel Akins. He's charged with robbery, but the case will go to a grand jury.
