Police seek public's help solving homicide

Michael McGrath, Chief of the Cleveland Division of Police, announced Wednesday that the Homicide Unit is seeking the public's help in obtaining information relative to the recent homicide of Susan Cancasci.   

Susan Cancasci, a 59-year-old white female, reported to be of limited mental capacity, was last seen by her family at her Mayfield Heights home on Thursday, February 8, 2012. 

Ms. Cancasci was found dead on Monday, February 13th, 2012, in the 3400 block of Hamilton Avenue on the sidewalk and partially covered with snow.  The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has officially ruled her death a Homicide and the cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head.

Anyone with information on the death of Susan Cancasci or her whereabouts after Thursday, February 8th, is asked to call the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit at 216.623.5464.
