Cleveland (WOIO) - The Indians will likely sign infielder Cristian Guzman on Wednesday and invite him to spring training. Guzman was in Goodyear, Arizona to take a physical on Tuesday.
The infielder has played with the Twins, Nationals and Rangers in his 11-year career. Guzman is a career .271 hitter, and hit .316 for the Nationals when current Indians manager Manny Acta was the manager in Washington in 2008.
The switch-hitter missed all of last season after having shoulder surgery.
