(WOIO) - Members of Congress are watching their mail after receiving letters containing a suspicious powder. The letters were sent to district offices and not to Capitol Hill.
Speaker of the House John Boehner was among those targeted. A threatening letter was sent to his district office.
In fact 10 members of Congress received letters. The Senate's top law enforcement official says the letters tested so-far contain a harmless powdery substance.
The letters warned: "There's a 10% chance you have been exposed to a lethal pathogen."
Each letter bears the return address of "The M-I-B" postmarked Portland, Oregon.
The letters demands an end to corporate money and lobbying.
