Clevelanders gather at Tower City for Trayvon Martin rally

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO/CBS) -

A large protest was held in Cleveland Friday night at 4 p.m. for Trayvon Martin, a teen wrongfully gunned down in Florida.

On Feb. 26, unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin was shot in a gated community in Sanford by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. The case has sparked national outrage, igniting rallies, and even a comment from President Obama. Zimmerman, 28, who said he shot the unarmed 17-year-old Miami boy in self-defense, has not been arrested.

Clevelanders gathered and marched from Tower City to the Justice Center after a couple deeply affected by Trayvon's death organized the event through social networking sites.
