When the Olympics get underway, many Glenville grads will be looking for a familiar face in the crowd as Team USA walks in the opening ceremonies.
Terell Gausha is headed to London for a chance at Olympic gold!
"I'm very thrilled, excited, overwhelmed,"said proud mom Teretha Jones.
Gausha graduated from Glenville in 2005. Eight years earlier, at the age of 10, he began his boxing career at the Glenville Rec. But according to his mom, he began planning on being champion even earlier than that.
"When he was three-years-old he told me he was going to be the heavyweight champion instead of middleweight champion of the world," she said.
The family hopes to be in London to watch Terell, but are in need of donations.
