Warmer WX, Adoption Specials for Cats and Kittens, Facebook Changes

Clear skies and a cool start to Tuesday. The wind will increase as we continue through the morning into this afternoon, but not as strong as yesterday. Wednesday as high pressure continues overhead with the wind starting to turn towards the south, warmer air will flow in. Expect temperatures to head into the 90s with a warm front that lifts on Thursday. Best threat for storms this week will be Thursday night into Friday with a weak disturbance that will ride along a stalled out front.

Great things are happening for the animals at the Cleveland Animal Protective League! For starters, the month of June is ending with a bang: on Friday, June 29th and Saturday, June 30th, all adult cats in the building will be available for only $1 and kittens will be available for only $10!!! We're encouraging adopters to skip the dollar hotdogs this weekend, and instead, bring home a priceless, fabulous new kitty companion. The joy of a hotdog only lasts a few minutes, the joy of love and devotion from a cat lasts a lifetime-and it's much better for your health and waistline! Besides, when you adopt a pet, you make a difference!

Facebook users beware: the company is making a subtle change to profile pages across its network. The social media giant is now setting every user's default email address to an "@facebook.com" address. The default email address is the contact information other users see on your page if they want to send you an email. Every Facebook user is automatically assigned a free "facebook.com" email account, but many do not use it. Several bloggers are writing about the change, with many highly critical of the switch. The email change is going into effect for all 900 million users. The setting can be changed to a user's preferred email address by manually editing the "contact info" section of each user's profile.
