Scorcher Today, Listen to Drew Carey on 19 Action News, Priests Named for Closed Churches

A rapid rise in temperature is coming after sunrise. A heat advisory will go into effect at 11am through 8pm for Cuyahoga and Lorain counties with highs near 100. With hot and very dry conditions, a red flag warning in anticipation of the fire danger has been issued for Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca counties this afternoon. A disturbance tracking west to east will bring a few storms after 8pm. These storms can be strong to severe and there will be a concern for damaging wind gusts and hail with any of these storms.

Cleveland's own Drew Carey is now a staple in our newscasts. You won't see him but starting Wednesday you'll definitely hear him! Carey's voice is the one you will now be hearing during the Everywhere news segments. Everywhere is a compilation of stories from different communities in the area. It has been a part of the newscasts for the past nine years.  You can also catch the 54 year old Carey at 11 a.m. weekdays on CBS 19 as the host of The Price Is Right. It airs right before 19 Action News at Noon.
