1 person arrested in E.66th shooting

Cleveland Police have made and arrest in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Racine Redmon.

Cleveland Police have determined that Redmon and China Johnson, 19, were involved in verbal altercation with a group of females in the area of E. 66th and Woodland late Thursday evening.

Friday morning around 2:15 a.m., China Johnson was driving in the area of E. 66th and Woodland again with Racine Redmon in the back seat. Johnson spotted the same group of females and attempted to run them over with her car. During the unsuccessful attempt, the group of women outside fired shots into the vehicle striking Racine Redmon.

Cleveland Police arrested China Johnson for felonious assault. Johnson is currently being held at Cleveland's Central Prison Unit.

This incident remains under investigation
