New Orleans (WOIO) - NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has rejected the appeals of four players suspended in connection with the Saints' bounty scandal, including Browns linebacker Scott Fujita.
Goodell told the players he retains "the inherent authority to reduce a suspension should facts be brought to my attention warranting the exercise of that discretion".
Goodell also told the players "the record confirms that each of you was given multiple chances to meet with me to present your side of the story".
Fujita will miss the first three games of the 2012 season, and return for the Ravens game, in Baltimore, on September 27th.
Lawyers for three of the four players will now seek a temporary restraining order to stop the suspensions.
