Cleveland Police are investigating a robbery turned shooting early Wednesday morning.
According to Cleveland Police, the incident happened at a gas station near East 131st and Crennell in Cleveland around 2:17 a.m.
Jason J. Cefaratti, 35, of Twinsburg, Ohio was sitting in his vehicle at a gas station with passenger Won Banks, 35, of Cleveland when they were approached by a group of males. The suspects asked for a ride and Cefaratti agreed. That's when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and robbed Cefaratti of his money and other items.
During the robbery, Cefaratti put his vehicle into drive and was shot twice. Passenger Won Banks was injured during the shooting.
Cleveland Police and EMS arrived on scene and located Cefaratti in the vehicle with a gunshot wound to his right side and elbow. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
Cleveland's Fourth District officers arrested Marvin Gay, 23, and David Sowell, 21 both of Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Police transported both suspects to Cleveland's Central Prison Unit awaiting charges.
