Bank robbers on the run Saturday

SOLON, OH (WOIO) -

Police in Lakewood and Solon, along with the FBI, are searching for two men and one woman Saturday in connection with two bank robberies.

Both robberies happened Friday.

Police say around 2:40 p.m., the Fifth Third Bank located at 1616 West 117th in Lakewood was robbed by a lone male. He is described as being Hispanic, in his mid 30's, and approximately 5'9".  The robber had an accomplice waiting in a get away car.  The accomplice is described as a black female driving what appeared to be a red Volkswagon Jetta station wagon.

More than one hour later, the Ohio Savings Bank located at 34206 Aurora Road in Solon was robbed around 4 p.m.  That robber is described as a black male in his 30's, thin, with a scruffy beard and a tattoo on his right arm.

The robberies are unrelated. There were no injuries reported.

All suspects fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.

Anyone with information on either of these robberies is asked to call the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400, the Lakewood Police Deparment or the Solon Police Department.
