A woman was strangled in her Alliance apartment after a domestic dispute overnight.
Alliance Police received a third-party call indicating that there was a possible homicide at 25 South Arch Avenue.
Officers responded to the apartment where they found the resident, 48-year-old Willa Hillman, unresponsive.
EMS transported her to Alliance Community Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
While officers were inside the apartment, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call from the victim's boyfriend, Randy Ring.
Ring indicated that he had hurt and strangled the victim, and that he was still in the apartment and was coming out from hiding.
Ring was taken into custody. He's currently in the Stark County Jail, charged with one count of murder.
Ring is no stranger to crime. He was arrested on June 10 for a felony count of domestic violence in Columbiana County.
Hillman was the victim in that arrest as well.
The charge is still open in Columbiana County Court.
