A Cleveland area piano teacher convicted of sexually abusing his young student was sentenced to 6-months in jail Thursday.
Bruce Locke, 62, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition and illegal use of a minor in
nudity-oriented material or performance.
Between December 1998 and August 2006, Locke taught piano lessons to the then 9-year-old female victim whose family knew Locke through church.
In December 1998, Locke kissed the victim and told her not to tell. In March 1999, Locke placed the victim's hands on his genitalia and began removing her clothing. He then picked up the victim and told her he wanted to have sex with her.
The piano lessons stopped shortly after the victim's 17th birthday.
In November 2011, the victim reported the crime to Euclid Police. Police obtained a search warrant and seized Locke's computer from his residence. A forensic examination revealed child pornographic photos and videos that depicted prepubescent girls in states of nudity and evidence that Locke had visited child pornographic websites.
Locke faces a maximum of four years in prison.
