Tiger Woods has been dethroned of the world's best-paid athlete title.
That's according to Sports Illustrated's Fortunate 50 ranking of the top-paid U-S athletes. This is the first time since the list started in 2004 that Woods isn't on top.
The rankings totaled salary, winnings, bonuses, endorsements and appearance fees. Woods was knocked off by boxer Floyd Mayweather, Junior...who raked in 85-million-dollars. Fellow golfer Phil Mickelson also surpassed Woods to take the number two spot. Woods came in third.
Blame it on the lack of lucrative sponsors. His estimated endorsement income fell to nearly 55-million last year, compared with 92-million in 2009... the same year as his well-publicized sex scandal. NBA stars Kobe Bryant and LeBron James round out the top five.
