Cleveland Police are investigating a shooting that happened just before 5 a.m. in the 500 block of E. 118th.
Police say when they arrived on scene, EMS workers were transporting a male in his 20s to MetroHealth Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
While on scene officers were informed by residents that they several gunshots and upon checking for the shots the victim was observed sitting with a black male, 5' 7", 180 lbs, bald head, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Residents also said they heard the victim yell out "Tone" or "Toney" at the time of the shooting. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The victim has not been identified. Police are still investigating.
