RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Monday afternoon's fire at a mobile home in Richland County has been ruled arson by the Division of State Fire Marshal.
Investigators have ruled out all accidental causes and found specific evidence that indicates the fire was intentionally set.
The fire caused heavy damage to the structure, but was contained to the interior of the home. No one was home at the time of the fire; no injuries were reported. The fire was discovered by neighbors who reported it to the fire department.
A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone with information about the person or persons responsible for the crime. Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw something out of the ordinary at or around the time of the fire, or who may have heard someone talking about the fire with an unusual level of interest or knowledge.
