Four workers were injured Thursday evening after the scaffolding they were on was damaged in high winds.
The Cleveland Fire Department responded around 7 p.m. to the Anthony J. Celebrezze Federal Building Federal Building on E. 9th St. and Lakeside.
19 Action News has learned that the men were doing work on the outside of the building when storms rolled in. The men were preparing to get down when the winds kicked up, knocking the scaffolding around. The men were tossed into the building as cable tangled and part of the scaffolding dropped.
Authorities says the firefighters went to the 10th floor and broke a window to get three of the workers off the scaffolding. One worker had already made it out.
All four men were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. Their conditions are not known at this time, but their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
