Royal Beatdown, As Indians Fall Hard In K.C.

Kansas City (WOIO) - The Indians failed to make a major deal before Tuesday's deadline, and that didn't exactly inspire the troops, as the team then took the field in Kansas City and suffered another beatdown, falling to the Royals, 8-3.

The Indians stayed with them for a couple of innings, as Johnny Damon and Casey Kotchman drove in runs in the second inning.  Asdrubal Cabrera scored on a wild pitch in the third to tie the game at three, but in the bottom of the third, it all unravelled, as Derek Lowe balked home a run by falling off the mound, and Chris Getz and Alex Gordon followed with RBI doubles to blow the game open.
