SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Akron Police say they have found the body of 48-year-old Susan Ramsdell, who had been reported missing.
Her body was found in a wooded area in the Hampton Hills Metro Park Friday.
Ramsdell was reported missing on August 1 around 7:30 a.m. Police say she left a note at her home indicated that she may have been preparing to harm herself.
On August 2, MetroPark Rangers discovered her 2010 Toyota Corolla at the "Top of the Hill" MetroPark located off of Bath Rd. in Cuyahoga Falls.
Personnel from the various agencies began a search of the area where her vehicle was found, but the search was eventually suspended at dusk. The search continued earlier this morning however, the topography and thick foliage makes it difficult to search areas off the established trails.
Preliminary investigation has not revealed any signs of foul play, however, the cause of death has yet to be established pending further investigation by the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
