SOLON, OH (WOIO) - Solon Police say a 42-year-old man was arrested August 3 just after 10 p.m. after crashing into a tree.
Dispatch received a call that a car had crashed into a tree at a high rate of speed in the area of S. R. 43 and Liberty Road.
Officers discovered that Joseph Shaner had been driving in the car with his wife and two children when he claims he had a problem with the car's transmission, causing him to strike the tree.
He was arrested and submitted to a breath test with a result of .219.
No one was injured in the accident.
