Tribe's Tomlin Needs Elbow Checked

Indians pitcher Josh Tomlin did not acompany his teammates out west to play the Angels, instead he remained in Cleveland to have his elbow examined by team doctors.

Tomlin has been pitching with a sore elbow most of this year. It's shown. In 2011 he went 12-7 with a 4.25 ERA. This season he's 5-8 with a 6.36 ERA. Tomlin missed the last month of last season with an inflamed elbow that was treated with rest and rehab.
