Cleveland (WOIO) - The Browns claimed free agent rookie defensive tackle Ronnie Cameron off waivers Monday night.
Cameron, who played collegiately at Old Dominion, is 6-foot-2 and 304 pounds. He had 73 tackles with 17 tackles for a loss with 6.5 sacks last season for the Monarchs.
The Browns weren't the only team to put in a claim on Cameron. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Lions, Texans, Giants and Eagles also put in claims. However, because of the Browns record last season (4-12) they were awarded Cameron.
To make room for Cameron, the Browns waived/injured fullback Eddie Williams.
