Cleveland (WOIO) - The Indians today reinstated starting pitcher Roberto Hernandez to the club's 25-man roster and will start Wednesday night's game in Anaheim.

In order to make room for the pitcher formerly known as Fausto Carmona, the Indians placed Josh Tomlin on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.

Hernandez had visa issues prior to spring training which prevented him from entering the United States.  Since coming back to Cleveland in July, he has made 4 minor league starts while serving a 3-week suspension from Major League Baseball.

He went 2-1 with a 4.07 ERA, 20 strikeouts and just 4 walks between Single-A Lake County Captains and Triple-A Columbus. His most recent outing came on Friday with Triple-A Columbus in a 5-1 win over Indianapolis at Huntington Park.

Tomlin has gone 5-8 with a 6.36 ERA in 21 games this season, going 5-8 with a 5.72 ERA in 16 starts. He last pitched on Sunday against Boston in a 14-1 Indians loss.
