CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) - Police in Cuyahoga Falls have arrested the 30-year-old mother who left her little girl home alone.
Officers were called to a home on Elmwood Street shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning after a concerned neighbor noticed a 4-year-old girl crying and wandering around outside.
The neighbor stayed with the child until cops arrived.
The child told police her mother left. Officers searched the home, and found no one inside. They were not able to locate an immediate family member or relative to care for the little girl so she was brought to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department.
Child Services Board was notified and took temporary custody of the child.
An arrest warrant was issued for Colleen Testa on a charge of Endangering Children.
Testa was arrested at her home at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Another daughter, age 9, was located at another address in Cuyahoga Falls. That daughter was being supervised by an adult. The 9-year-old was brought to the station and Child Services Board responded for her, too.
