(WOIO) - Friends and family are hoping for answers in a cold case murder.
Jamella Davis was stabbed to death on November 7th, 1985 when she was 11-years-old. The girl was murdered in her Garden Valley apartment on East 79th Street in Cleveland.
Jamella's mother, who was sleeping upstairs at the time of the murder, later found her daughter's body on the living room floor.
Police found no evidence of forced entry and nothing was missing. The weapon was never found.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office has re-opened the cold case.
