Charges filed after men shot while walking dog

Cleveland police have charged two people with aggravated murder in connection with a double shooting that happened early Friday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of Hecker Avenue.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the men were walking a dog when three unknown individuals with guns approached them and attempted to rob them. During the robbery attempt, both victims were shot.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the chest, and a 22-year-old was shot in the arm. EMS rushed both victims to Metro. The 21-year-old victim died a short time later.

O'Neal Crenshaw, 35-year-old male, Maurice Golden, 20-year-old male, Derrick Johnson, 19-year-old male, and Nichole Woods, 37-year-old female were all arrested in connection with this shooting.

Johnson and Woods were released pending further information, however Woods will remain in custody due to warrants not connected to this case.

Golden and Crenshaw have been charged with aggravated murder.  They'll appear in court Monday morning.
