Unemployment numbers in Ohio have declined since January, but in June and July the numbers have remained unchanged at 7.2%.
Ohio is the only swing state in the upcoming election where unemployment numbers have not climbed. In fact, northeast Ohio has seen some encouraging news in the past couple of weeks on the job front.
On Thursday, 40 trucking companies held a job fair trying to hire 2,000 truck drivers. Chrysler has recently announced that they'll be hiring 1,100 new workers in Toledo and Youngstown.
