Pedestrian struck on highway, killed

ROCKY RIVER, OH (WOIO) - The Highway Patrol is investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 90 around 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

It happened on I-90 eastbound near mile marker 163.2 in Rocky River.

A car driven by Stanley Jacobs, Jr, 19 of Cleveland was eastbound on I-90 when he struck two pedestrians that had been stopped on the shoulder of the westbound side of the interstate and jumped over the concrete divider wall.

Both of the pedestrians, Antoinette Marie Hamilton, 23 and David Latten, 42 both of Lorain, were struck by the car.

Hamilton died from her injuries, Latten was lifeflighted to MetroHealth Medical Center, his condition unknown.

Jacob's had three passengers in his car.  No one in the vehicle was injured in the accident.

The investigation is still pending.
