EASTLAKE, OH (WOIO) - Eastlake Police confirmed that the body found Friday was Joshua Baughman, the suspect is the Aug. 20 shooting at the Eastlake Walmart.
Police officers find the body of a man around 7 a.m. Friday, at the end of East 365th Street near the railroad tracks.
Eastlake Officers say the body appeared to have been there for a number of days. The initial call to the area was due to an odor being noticed by a resident of that street.
The remains were transported to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner who will determine a cause of death.
The shooting incident involved a 27-year-old man was shot in the store parking lot. The victim, a Cleveland man, told police he had pulled into a parking spot when an unknown armed man entered the passenger side of his vehicle. The suspect allegedly demanded the victim hand over "everything he had" before shooting him in the chest. The victim survived the attack.
