The man accused of robbing a gambler who had just won big at the new downtown casino has been indicted on two counts of aggravated robbery and a weapons charge.
Ronald Wells, a career criminal, also was indicted for an unrelated home invasion.
The robbery happened in the early morning hours on Sunday, Aug. 19.
The victim and his friend had just gone out to the Tower City parking lot, and they noticed they were being followed. They say they were then robbed at gunpoint, and they realized the attacker was a man who'd been at two of the gambling tables with them. He'd seen them cash in chips, $1,800 worth.
The casino tells 19 Action News that its always reviewing security. Tower City says, "there will be changes."
