Cleveland City Councilman Kevin Conwell hosts two programs this week aimed at building up the Glenville community and helping to curb crime and violence within the east side community.
Thursday evening, Councilman Conwell and East Cleveland Mayor Gary Norton hosted a community dialog on safety to address the recent July 29 shooting of a 14-year-old girl and other issues of crime along the border of Cleveland and East Cleveland.
"I'm just concerned about everybody," said Gregory Lee. "It crosses my mind a lot about the loss of the girl not only her it's been quite a few all over the city."
Councilman Conwell, Mayor Gary Norton and other leaders met with residents to talk about ways to stop the violence.
"Hopefully we can eliminate some of these high shrubs high grass litter in the area that allow people to hide allow people to not be able to be visible to the police," said Mayor Gary Norton.
