SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - In August of 2012, the Summit County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation involving a caregiver that was stealing medications.
Deputies say during their investigation they discovered that Amy Williamson, 50 of Barberton, the primary caregiver of a 77-year-old female was stealing the woman's medications and replacing them with veterinary medications.
The victim became ill due to consuming the wrong medications supplied by Williamson.
Williamson has been charged with Tampering with Drugs, Theft, and Assault. She was booked into the Summit County Jail.
