Judgment day for a former Waite Hill police officer convicted of sexual battery.
Matthew Mole was sentenced to two years in prison on Monday morning.
Mole was found guilty last month of sexual battery.
At approximately 4 a.m. on December 19, 2011, the 14-year old victim's mother awoke to discover Mole and her son naked in their home having engaged in sexual activity.
Mole met the victim over the Internet then communicated with the victim to arrange the meeting for sex at the victim's home.
Mole's attorneys promise an appeal, and asked for Mole to remain out pending the appeal. The judge said no, but that she would consider it after the lawyers officially filed a motion requesting Mole's temporary release.
