Holiday Forecast, Streetsboro Bear, Lake County Child has Swine Flu

What's left of Isaac is currently rotating through. Expect isolated rain and storms mainly south of Cleveland. The bulk of this rain will arrive late this morning into the afternoon. More widespread rain and storms will be with us on Tuesday. This system will be east of us for a dry Wednesday before a weak cold front brings an isolated storm on Thursday.

Streetsboro Police are once again warning residents of a bear sighting in their city. Police say it was spotted in the areas of the Navajo, Pike Parkway and the Turnpike. The urge if you see the bear to leave it alone. There have been bear sightings all over the area this summer, including other sightings in Streetsboro in May and July. Other sightings include Hudson in July, Lake and Geauga Counties in June and Twinsburg at the end of May. Portage County had a panther or leopard sighting in July.

A Lake County resident with flu like symptoms has been confirmed with Influenza H3N2v; swine flu. It's reported the victim is a child, however the Lake County General Health Department will not identify the victim. This individual is recovering from their illness and is at home.  A public health investigation is being conducted to identify if there was any contact with sick animals or other persons who may have had influenza symptoms. The investigation so far has not demonstrated any connection to the Lake County Fair or any other Ohio Fair.
