The Indians recalled left handed pitchers David Huff and Scott Maine, second baseman Cord Phelps and utility player Vinny Rottino from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Huff spent the entire 2012 Minor League season with Columbus where he went 7-6 with a 4.97 ERA in 24 games in 22 starts. Over his last three starts he was 2-0 with a 2.91 ERA. His season did not begin until April 25 after straining his right hamstring in spring training.
Maine was claimed off outright waivers last week from the Chicago Cubs and made two scoreless appearances for the Clippers.
Phelps hit .276 with 82 runs scored, 34 doubles, 3 triples, 16 home runs and 62 RBI's in 135 games for the Columbus Clippers in 2012. He was named the second baseman on the International League postseason all-star team.
Rottino was claimed on outright waivers from the New York Mets on June 27 and split the remainder of the season between Columbus and Cleveland. With the Clippers, he hit .291 with 18 doubles, 1 triple, 5 homers and 41 RBI's in 60 games. He was with the Indians from August 1-3, appearing in 2 games in left field.
