Robber admits to crimes, blames drugs

EASTLAKE, OH (WOIO) - A 46-year-old robbery suspect is behind bars after committing two crimes in Eastlake.

The first robbery happened on August 8 around 9:30 p.m. the BP station on the corner of 91 and Vine. The suspect - identified as David Bell - claimed he had a gun and robbed the gas station.

During the morning of August 9, there was an attempted robbery at Convenient on the corner of Vine and E 343rd.

Bell was found in Euclid on Tuesday, September 4. He confessed to both crimes, and claimed that drug use was the reason.

He's facing robbery and attempted robbery charges.
