SANDUSKY, OH (WOIO) - The 41-year-old man accused of murdering a Sandusky mom and her two young children has now been indicted by the Erie County Grand Jury. Curtis Clinton was indicted on three counts of aggravated murder. Clinton was also indicted on an unrelated rape of a 17-year-old female that happened five days before the murders. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
Heather Jackson, 23, her 3-year-old daughter Celina and 18-month-old son Wayne were strangled. The young family was found dead on September 8 during a well-check visit. Heather's body was located inside her bedroom between a mattress and box spring. Her children's bodies were found in a closet.
The autopsy also shows 3-year-old Celina was sexually assaulted.
Curtis Clinton is being held on a $3,025,000 bond.
19 Action News has learned Clinton just got out of jail last year. Heather and Clinton were friends. Clinton has known Heather for the past 5 months. He has a long criminal record including assault and involuntary manslaughter.
