RTA expands trolley service to evenings, weekends

There is now expanded, free shuttle service in Cleveland.

RTA responded to requests from the tourism industry to hit popular spots, and expanded trolley service to evenings and weekends.

They raised more than $700K to make this happen for the next three years.

The new lines will make it easier to get to the Horseshoe Casino, Medical Mart and Rock Hall.

C-Line:

RTA's new "C-Line" (Convention & Casino Line) trolley combines major attractions from the B-Line and E-Line trolleys, offering service from 7-11 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on weekends. The C-Line connects the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland and the future Medical Mart and Convention Center, with stops along the way at PlayhouseSquare, the East Fourth Street entertainment district, the Historic Warehouse District, and seven major hotels.

L-Line:

RTA's new "L-Line" (Lakefront Line) carries passengers from Public Square to some of the most popular destinations along the lakefront, including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center and Voinovich Bicentennial Park. The service runs from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on weekends.

NineTwelve Line:

RTA's new "NineTwelve Line" is a weekday commuter service from the Municipal Parking Lot, Gateway East Parking Garage and businesses in the NineTwelve District. The service will run along East Ninth Street to the Gateway District during morning and afternoon rush hours, stopping at office buildings along the way. Catch the NineTwelve Line from 6-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.

RTA will continue to offer B-Line and E-Line trolley service on their current schedule, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday- Friday.

Trolleys on the B-Line, C-Line and E-Line operate every 10 minutes. Trolleys on The L-Line and NineTwelve Line run every 15 minutes.
