Ruling: Deadly Cracker Barrel police shooting justified

The Cuyahoga County prosecutor has ruled the deadly police shooting on April 11, 2012, at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant located on Tiedeman Road was justified and officers followed proper procedure.

Brooklyn Police Officers responded after a domestic dispute call was made from the restaurant. Shortly after arriving on scene Kevin Allen, 51, of Strongsville, took the lives of his estranged wife, Katerina Allen, 42, and two of his daughters, Kayla, 10, and Kerri, 9.  The Officer's then shot and killed Allen as he brandished a loaded shotgun.

Prosecutor Mason stated, "After reviewing the facts surrounding this tragic case my Office found that the Officer's actions throughout this incident were appropriate."
