Police were immediately notified and are reviewing the surveillance footage for details.

Petland employees reported that an African American woman wearing a white tank top came into the store and asked to see the Yorkshire Terrier puppy.  The woman slipped the puppy into the Victoria Secret bag she was carrying, exited the building and got into a white Grand Am.

The incident was caught on the store's surveillance video and reported to the police. The puppy had been implanted with a microchip which is registered to the store. A lost pet alert has been issued with alerting the pet community that the puppy has been stolen.
