26-year-old Cleveland man killed in double shooting

A 26-year-old Cleveland man is dead after a double shooting late Sunday night.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. in the 900 block of Nathaniel Avenue.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victims - identified as Steven J. Commack and Rondell Vinson - were in the area when a vehicle drove down the street and fired numerous shots. After shooting the victims, the vehicle fled the scene northbound on Nathaniel Avenue. Witnesses were unable to provide officers with suspect or suspect vehicle information.

EMS was notified, responded to the scene and conveyed Rondell Vinson to the MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries. While on scene, officers were advised by Police Dispatch that a second victim - Steven J. Commack - with a gunshot wound to the torso from the shooting had been conveyed to Euclid General Hospital by private auto had expired.
