Pizza delivery driver attacked, robbed in Akron


A pizza driver attacked and robbed while attempting to make a delivery over the weekend.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night in Akron.

A delivery driver for Pizza Hut Pizza reported he was attempting to deliver food in the 700 block of Gem Avenue when two suspects struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object. The driver fell to the ground, and the suspects went through the driver's pockets taking $30 in cash before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The driver delivery suffered minor injuries, but he refused medical attention. 

The suspects are two black men, 20 – 25 years old, 5'10" – 6'01", 150 lbs. The first suspect was wearing a gray or black hooded sweatshirt and maroon basketball shorts with a white stripe down the sides. The second suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
