Prison for mom convicted in toddler's meth death

The mother convicted in the death of her toddler son was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.

Heather Lerch was sentenced to 22-years to life behind bars.

17-month-old Patrick died February 26 after ingesting large amounts of Methamphetamines. Lerch and Patrick moved into the home of Lerch's boyfriend, Randy Legg, on St. Leger Avenue in Akron, just days before Patrick died. Patrick was kept in the home's rat-infested basement in the care of Ronald Legg and Allen Kostra, who were cooking and high on meth throughout Patrick's last days.

Kostra was sentenced to nine years in prison, and Legg was sentenced to 27-years in prison.
