An investigations is underway after a shooting at an east side mini-mart on Tuesday morning.
It happened just before 10 a.m. at the Mini Mart on Euclid.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the man with the gunshot wounds and the store clerk were involved in an argument inside the store. The clerk was behind the bullet proof glass during the argument. As the argument escalated, the man kicked in the door to the secured area and entered the area. At this time, the clerk obtained a handgun and shot the man multiple times. The injured man did not have a weapon at the time of the shooting.
The man suffered gunshots wounds to his abdomen, arm and leg. He was rushed by EMS to Metro. No word on his condition at this time.
The store clerk was arrested for Felonious Assault and Weapons Under Disability. The man with the gunshot wounds is being made a named suspect in a Burglary/ Robbery.
The store owner tells 19 Action News the suspect was high on PCP when he pursued the clerk behind the bullet proof glass.
