City Year

Officials kicked off a year of service in Cleveland Metropolitan School District Schools.

City Year, an education-focused, nonprofit that unites diverse teams of young people for a year of full-time service in the nation's highest-need schools, will serve in six CMSD schools this year.

City Year held its opening day ceremonies at 11 a.m. Friday at Cleveland City Hall Rotunda.

City Year partners with schools and teachers to place trained young adults in schools where they're needed most to provide individual support to students who need extra care and attention.
