A security officer with Case Western Reserve University has been indicted for stealing computers and other electronics.

Demetrious Cathey has been indicted for grand theft and other theft charges.

Court records show the 21-year-old is accused of stealing 13 laptop computers, four cameras and three iPods.

Investigators recovered six laptops and three of the cameras. They believe the other stolen goods were sold for cash.

University Officials say Cathey worked for a private security firm that has a contract with the school.

Case Western University initiated the investigation when computers started missing from campus buildings.
