Cleveland (WOIO) - Ohio State announced on Wednesday the Buckeyes will play the Texas Longhorns in a home-and-home football series in 2022 and 2023.
The first game in 2022 will be played in Austin, Texas, while the return game will be in Columbus.
The two schools have played three times in the last seven seasons. In the first game in 2005, the Longhorns defeated the Buckeyes 25-22 in Columbus. In 2006, the Buckeyes returned the favor with a 24-7 win in Austin.
The two teams also met in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl. Browns quarterback Colt McCoy led Texas down the field in the final seconds to give the Longhorns a 24-21 win.
