Cleveland (WOIO) - Browns linebacker Scott Fujita appealed his one-game suspension for his involvement in the Saints bounty scandal. Three other players who were suspended by Goodell; Jonathan Vilma, Anthony Hargrove and Will Smith, will also appeal.
Fujita and the other three suspended players also want NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to remove himself as the arbitrator in the case. They believe Goodell cannot be impartial in the appeals hearing because he's the one who issued the suspensions to begin with.
"The commissioner says he is disappointed in me," Fujita said Wednesday when he spoke with the media in Berea about the suspension. "The truth is, I'm disappointed in him."
Fujita also said he didn't like the commissioner's "condescending tone" of the letter Goodell sent him.
